Our Charitable Giving

Solstice Foundation divides its giving into Seven Primary Areas of Interest. In 2024, the Foundation made direct $1,000 contributions to one Tax Exempt Organization in each of the seven primary areas of interest:

1. Human Need: World Central Kitchen wck.org
2. Gaia: Whale and Dolphin Conservation us.whales.org
3. Liberty: American Enterprise Institute aei.org
4. Warriors: Tunnels to Towers Foundation t2t.org
5. Man’s Best Friend: Freedom Service Dogs freedomservicedogs.org
6. Contemplative: Preservation of Buddhism fpmt.org
7. Eclectic Interests: Heffner Research Institute heffter.org

More significantly, Solstice Foundation’s sister organization: ‘Solstice Fund at Vanguard’ contributed over $400,000 in 2024 spread amongst the 49 charities on the Solstice Foundation Gifting Matrix, which consists of approximately seven charities in each of the seven Primary Areas. In addition, the Solstice Fund supported ten small, local organizations for a total of $25,000.

These amounts closely mirror those donated in 2023 and are indicative of those that might be expected in 2025. In due course, such levels of gifting will increase significantly as Solstice Foundation realizes presently proposed legacies and other contribution sources.
